Shaun oversees all legal matters for Copper Hill, including complex commercial agreements, SaaS and technology transactions, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, employment matters, and risk management. He plays a critical role in supporting the company’s continued evolution as a technology-enabled global trade solutions provider, helping establish the legal frameworks and operational safeguards necessary to support innovation, scalability, and sustainable growth.
Prior to joining Copper Hill, Shaun held legal leadership roles at Comerica Bank, where he managed the bank’s Procurement Contracts team and led efforts to standardize enterprise contracting processes, including technology and SaaS agreements. Earlier in his career, he practiced law at Dykema Gossett PLLC, advising governmental entities and private sector organizations on public finance, regulatory matters, and complex business transactions.
Known for his practical, business-minded approach, Shaun partners with stakeholders throughout the organization to balance innovation, compliance, and risk while helping drive operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.
Shaun earned his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law. Outside of work, he remains actively involved in his community, serving as the head coach of his son’s youth travel hockey team. He also enjoys playing hockey and traveling with his family.
