Heather received her A.B. from the University of California, Berkeley, graduated cum laude with a J.D. from Tulane University Law School, and is a licensed customs broker. Prior to her work as a customs attorney, Heather served three years as a law clerk at the Los Angeles Superior Court. The daughter of a customs broker, Heather is committed to giving back to the international trade community. Heather was a member of the 16th and 17th terms of the Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee (“COAC”), where she served as Co-Chair of the Intelligent Enforcement Subcommittee, as a Trade Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Rights Working Group, as a Trade Co-Chair of the Forced Labor Working Group, and as a Trade Co-Chair of the Centers Working Group. Heather has also served on the boards of trade associations, including the American Association of Exporters and Importers, and for years taught the Los Angeles Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association Customs Broker preparatory class.
