Prior to joining Copper Hill, David took a brief hiatus from the Global Trade Management industry and spent nearly four years at Microsoft, where he built and led engineering initiatives focused on Azure Storage diagnostics, automation, and reliability engineering at global scale. His teams developed advanced analytics, data loss prevention, and proactive AI-augmented automated mitigation solutions that helped safeguard and optimize the storage infrastructure underpinning Microsoft Azure’s worldwide cloud platform.
Today, David serves as Director of Engineering at Copper Hill, where he leads engineering strategy, product and technology innovation, and organizational growth. He is passionate about leveraging technology, championing Agile principles, and driving operational excellence to modernize global trade operations, improve efficiency, and deliver meaningful business outcomes that empower Copper Hill’s services and Solutions model. By combining deep expertise in engineering and global trade, David and his team are building the tools, automation, and software intelligence capabilities necessary to help trade professionals proactively adapt—not just react—to the challenges of an increasingly complex and ever-changing global trade landscape.
