Manager of Solutions Consulting

Job Description

The Manager of Solutions Consulting is a key pre-sales leader at Copper Hill, supporting the Sales organization by delivering expert product demonstrations, conducting technical discovery, and helping assess prospect complexity and solution fit. Reporting to the Director of Solutions Consulting, this role operates as both an individual contributor and a team leader, owning demos and discovery while helping guide day-to-day execution across the Solutions Consulting function. The Manager plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth transition from sale to implementation through early data gathering and cross-functional collaboration.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary pre-sales resource for Sales, leading product demos and technical discovery sessions with prospects
  • Deeply understand Copper Hill’s software modules, services, and implementation approach to accurately position solutions
  • Assist Sales in diagnosing prospect complexity, scope, and readiness during the sales process
  • Assist Sales in RFP responses and other proposal support
  • Collect and validate preliminary client data to support efficient onboarding and implementation
  • Partner closely with the Director, Solutions Consulting on demo strategy, workflows, and enablement materials
  • Provide structured handoffs to Implementation and Client Success teams following deal close
  • Support pricing and scoping conversations by identifying technical and operational considerations
  • Act as a trusted advisor to prospects by translating business and regulatory requirements into solution recommendations
  • Help mentor and support junior Solutions Consultants, providing guidance on demos, discovery, and best practices
  • Collaborate with Product and Implementation teams to stay aligned on roadmap updates and delivery considerations

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in a solutions consulting, pre-sales, implementation, or technical advisory role within a SaaS or GTM (Global Trade Management) environment
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software and how it supports complex business workflows
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, particularly in client-facing settings
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Implementation teams
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple sales cycles simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a consultative, customer-first mindset

 

Preferred Experience

  • 3–5+ years of experience in solutions consulting, pre-sales, implementation, or related roles
  • Experience supporting enterprise or mid-market B2B sales cycles
  • Prior exposure to GTM (Global Trade Management), trade compliance, supply chain, logistics, or other regulated enterprise environments
  • Experience assisting with or leading product demonstrations and technical discovery
  • Interest in mentoring team members and growing into broader leadership responsibility
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales enablement tools used in pre-sales environments
