LIVONIA, MI (September 13, 2022) – Copper Hill, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Julissa Jaime, LCB, to our team as Vice President of Brokerage; Agnieszka Borowka, LCB, to our team as Director of Operations for Copper Hill Poland Sp. z o. o.;
and Kathleen Hernandez, LCB, CCS, to our team as Vice President of Global Classification.
Julissa Jaime Brings A Competitive Edge To The Copper Hill Team As Vice President of Brokerage

Ms. Jaime has over 18 years of experience in trade compliance and brokerage operations. Her experience spans multiple industries, including automotive, heavy equipment, and industrial machinery for multinational companies. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Copper Hill, Inc.
Ms. Jaime also brings her competitive nature and ambition to this position, as she is a force to be reckoned with in and outside of work. During her previous position as Global Customs Compliance Manager for an automotive original equipment manufacturer, she set the standard for compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, supply chain requirements for global partners, and management of North American import/export activity.
“The growth and success of the Copper Hill Brokerage operation, as well as that of our clients, is my number one objective. Success is not for a select few; I want to bring growth and success to not only our clients but to Copper Hill,” Jaime said. She has many goals for her new role in Copper Hill, Inc., which all revolve around elevating client success as a
primary metric.
Ms. Jaime is a Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) with a BA in International Studies: Business Management.
Agnieszka Borowka Joins The Copper Hill Team As Director of Operations for Copper Hill Europe

Ms. Borowka brings over 15 years of experience in shipping, customer service coordination, and customs & trade compliance, including the development and management of compliance programs for several multinational corporations
across various industries in the EMEA region. She has been has worked diligently to help customers manage their imports, exports and overall trade activity since 2007. In her early career, Ms. Borowka was involved with everything from Post Entry activity to Customs Value Adjustment Reporting. She continued to expand her knowledge and understanding of international trade compliance and was directly overseeing operations for origin determination, free trade agreements, and client relationship management before joining the Copper Hill team.
“I am thrilled to be taking on this new role within Copper Hill and utilize my experience in international trade and customs processes to improve the ways we serve our clients. I see huge opportunities to expand and diversify what we offer to our clients and drive growth in the EMEA market,” said Ms. Borowka. Ms. Borowka has substantial experience in global FTA Management, duty optimization and savings opportunities, post declaration audits, Harmonized Tariff Classification, process integration, and GTM Systems implementation. She has invested in her understanding of both trade compliance and leadership strategies through a Master’s in International Trade, postgraduate studies in Management and Logistics, and completion of the Lean Six Sigma course.
She will be heading the Copper Hill Poland Sp. z o.o. operation, which was established in April 2022 in Warsaw, Poland. With the expansion in Poland, Copper Hill will be better equipped to serve clients in the region. Ms. Borowka, specifically, brings a depth of knowledge and experience to clients in the region. With her understanding of European trade regulations, operational management experience, and multilingualism, she will be a substantial asset to Copper Hill clients.
Borowka is on-site in Poland and speaks English, Polish, and Russian fluently, which will enable her to provide Copper Hill clients with timely and accurate information about European trade initiatives and regulations. With the current instability in Eastern Europe, having an asset like Ms. Borowka is critical to assisting our clients.
Kathleen Hernandez Joins The Copper Hill Team As Vice President of Global Classification

Ms. Hernandez has over a decade of experience in trade compliance, which she is excited to leverage for Copper Hill clients. Ms. Hernandez has experience supporting clients throughout various industries, including apparel, electronics, machinery,
natural gas, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and manufacturing. Her diverse experience not only benefits a wide variety of clients but also has given her the insight and strategies to tackle future challenges.
Ms. Hernandez has supported core compliance components such as classification, country of origin, free trade agreements, duty drawback, post-entry audit, broker management, and CTPAT. However, she most enjoys global classification and is excited to support Copper Hill clients in this area of compliance. “I started my compliance career in global classification. While I have gained valuable experience working in other areas of compliance, I have always had a passion for classification. I look forward to working with an extraordinary team to provide exceptional service to our clients,” said Hernandez.
As a licensed customs broker and certified customs specialist, Hernandez brings with her extensive experience in managing large teams with an emphasis on effective global collaboration. She will be responsible for ensuring Copper Hill clients have up-to-date information on global classification standards, are able to maintain compliance through accurate classification, and communicate this information seamlessly to their Customs Broker.
Prior to joining Copper Hill, Inc., Kathleen was leading the US and CA import/export compliance program for AS America Inc., a part of Lixil.
