Carlos Alberto Arévalo Garza

Carlos Alberto Arévalo Garza is a Lawyer with more than 28 years of experience in Customs, International Trade, Tax and Administrative Law.  

Mr. Arévalo earned a Mexican Law Degree from the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey in 1999 and in 2009, earned a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M) from Harvard Law School. Mr. Arévalo is licensed to practice Law in Mexico and is also certified in Texas as a Foreign Legal Consultant.

In 2007, Mr. Arévalo completed a Master’s program in Tax Law from the Universidad Regiomontana (MDF 2007) and in 2010, accepting a special invitation for litigators, completed the Basic Training and Preparation Course for Federal Court Clerks imparted by the Federal Judiciary Institute, as well as the General Course on Intellectual Property organized by World Intellectual Property Organization Academy.
 
Since 1998, Mr. Arévalo has been in charge of the Litigation practice at Dicex Group, where he has handled administrative procedures and litigation in relation to international trade operations carried out by customs brokers and their clients in the automotive, steel, international courier, e-commerce and food industries.
 
Starting in July 2013, Carlos Arévalo has also directed the international legal consulting division of Dicex Consultores. Based in Houston, Texas, Mr. Arévalo and the Dicex Consultores team offer legal consulting and comprehensive services to foreign companies seeking to do business in Mexico, facilitating their entry into the Mexican market through personalized services and the coordination of their trade operations.
 
Mr. Arévalo is also a professor of Law at the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey since 2004, where he is currently a professor of International Trade Law at Bachelor and Graduate levels.
